Unless you’ve been living under a
rock, you’re familiar with the GST that was introduced in Maldives in the
recent years. It’s one thing that you have to pay a huge amount for whatever you
purchase, no thanks to our economic depression, but you also have to pay extra
to the government because they just love to financially suck you dry, right? But
god forbid, you’re not one of those people who disapprove of it, because if you
do, then I hate you.

Are you politically brainwashed?
Before we proceed, you need to be
crystal clear about something regarding my belief; I hate political multiparty system. I hated it when it was
first introduced in our country in 2005, I still hate it, and I will keep on
hating it even if I’m the only one hating it. I loathe it so much that my next
article is going to be about just how much I despise it from every fiber of my
being.  The party system’s secret (yet
strangely not so secret) agenda is to brainwash citizens to the point that they
turn against each other.

Children should be able to vote, and we should teach them how to.
Children are unintelligent and
impressionable little bastards. Their brains are too immature to process
complicated concepts such as voting and politics, and have little to no
knowledge about politics. What’s more, they should be in school getting
educated and not minding the nationalistic fever running these days.
Why I'm rooting for Mohamed Nasheed this year.
This is my first voting experience if you
discount the number of times I voted for posts back in school where campaigning
were a good excuse to cut class and eat free candy, which was only a few months
ago. I felt like an important aspect of the country and wanted to do this
right, so I decided to be a good citizen and judge all candidates by reviewing
their actions in the past, as everyone should. The candidate who struck
interest most in me was former President Mohamed Nasheed, and these are the
reasons why I’m rooting for him this time.
